The Q1 journal Ultrasonics published an article with the results of our research in the field of transcranial therapeutic ultrasound

The high-ranking journal Ultrasonics (Q1, IF 4.1) published our paper on the study of the effect of alendronate therapy on skull density, structure, and the efficacy of focused ultrasound brain therapy. The research was conducted by LIMU research fellows, Alisa Krokhmal and Vera Khokhlova, along with PhD student Daria Chupova, in collaboration with the V.S. Buzaev International Medical Center.

LIMU at the “Medical Neurotechnologies” LiFT-2025 Young Scientists School

On April 17-18 2025, the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University hosted the "Medical Neurotechnologies" LiFT-2025 Young Scientists School, where LIMU research fellow Alisa Krokhmal presented the results of a joint study by LIMU and the V.S. Buzaev International Medical Center. The study introduces a new method to improve skull ultrasound conductivity using bisphosphonate therapy, enabling successful thermal ablation procedures even with initially low skull density ratio (SDR) values.
