LIMU participated in Russian school-seminar “Waves-2020”

From 23rd to 28th of August 2020, the XVII All-Russian School-Seminar "Wave Phenomena in Inhomogeneous Media" named after A.P. Sukhorukov ("Waves-2020") was held in a remote format. Two reports were presented from the LIMU lab at the school.

Maria Karzova got the rector scholarship of Moscow State University

On 22nd of January 2020, a few days before the Tatiana’s day, a graduation ceremony of laureates of rector scholarships of Moscow University for young researchers was held in the Imperial Hall of the Historical Building of Moscow State University. One hundred of the best young scientists of the university under the age of 33 years were selected by the academic councils of various faculties. Among them was Maria Karzova, a promising young researcher of the LIMU. Congratulations to Maria!

Pavel Rosnitskiy received a Ph.D. degree

Ph.D. student of LIMU Pavel Rosnitskiy has successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis on December 12, 2019. The thesis was prepared under supervision of Dr. Vera Khokhlova. Congratulations to Dr. Rosnitskiy!

Congratulations to LIMU students on receiving scholarships and grants!

In summer and autumn, LIMU students were awarded a number of awards. Anna Kunturova, Lyubov Kotelnikova, Polina Pestova, Ekaterina Ponomarchuk, Anastasia Bobina, Shamil Asfandiyarov, and Anatoly Podyman received increased scholarships. Lyubov Kotelnikova and Polina Pestova were awarded the stipends named after famous scientists, A.N. Tikhonov and M.V. Lomonosov. In addition, Anna Kontorova and Polina Pestova received Student internships from the Focused Ultrasound Foundation.

LIMU participation in the XXXII session of Russian Acoustical Society

From 14th to 18th of October 2019 LIMU team participated in the XXXII session of Russian Acoustical Society (http://rao.akin.ru/deyatelnost-obshchestva/xxxii-sessiya-rao ). The conference was held in Acoustical Institute (Moscow, Russia). LIMU members presented 14 talks.

Leonid Gavrilov received a Pioneer Award from ISTU/EUFUS 2019

Leonid Gavrilov received a prestigious Pioneer award for research in the field of therapeutic ultrasound. The award ceremony took place on June 13, 2019 in the historic building of the University of Barcelona (Spain) at the joint ISTU/EUFUS symposium.
