From October 13 to 25, 2025, B.B. Damdinov, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics and Professor in the Department of General Physics at Siberian Federal University, completed an internship at the Department of Acoustics at Lomonosov Moscow State University, with the support of a grant from the Vladimir Potanin Foundation.

As part of the 20th anniversary International Science Festival NAUKA 0+, held from October 10-12, 2025, LIMU research fellow Anastasia Lapina delivered a lecture titled "Applications of Ultrasound in Diagnostics, Therapy, and Surgery" for 9th-grade school students within the "Scientists in Schools" project.

On October 8 and 9, 2025, the Workshop on Acoustics and Acoustic Metamaterials was held at the ITMO University in St. Petersburg, bringing together leading experts from Russia and international research centers. LIMU invited speakers included O.A. Sapozhnikov, V.A. Khokhlova, and S.A. Tsysar.

From June 30 to July 4, 2025, LIMU traditionally attended the International Symposium on Nonlinear Acoustics (ISNA) held in Nanjing, China. Oleg A. Sapozhnikov was a member of the program committee and gave an educational lecture and an oral talk, while our research fellows Sergey A. Tsysar and Petr V. Yuldashev presented their latest results in oral talks.

From June 21 to 24, 2025, LIMU traditionally attended the annual symposium of the International Society for Therapeutic Ultrasound (ISTU-2025) held in Banff, Canada.

From June 9 to 11, 2025, a thesis competition was held for students of the course “Neural Networks and Their Application in Scientific Research.” LIMU PhD student Fedor Nartov, who presented his work in the “Biology, Chemistry, Medicine” section, was among the winners.

On June 10th, 2025, at the Physics Faculty, MSU, a LIMU alumni Shamil Asfandiyarov successfully defended his PhD dissertation “The use of 2D phased arrays for ultrasonic imaging and physical impact on objects in heterogeneous medium”. The work was carried out under the supervision of Oleg A. Sapozhnikov, D.Sc. in Physics and Mathematics. Congratulations to Shamil and his supervisor!

Alexey’s coursework titled "Fields of multi-element ultrasonic transducers for particle manipulation" supervised by LIMU fellow Sergey A. Tsysar has successfully passed all three steps of the competition and won in the final mini-conference for students presenting their works in front of the jury members.

On April 15, 2025, the "Physics" section of the International Scientific Conference for Students, Postgraduates and Young Scientists "Lomonosov-2025" was opened at the Physics Faculty of Lomonosov Moscow State University with a lecture by our researcher Maria Karzova. Additionally, LIMU second- and third-year undergraduates presented their reports in the "Acoustics" and "Medical Physics" subsections.
